Starting in high school she played paying gigs in the eastern US & worked as well in this field while attending Scared Heart & Belmont college in NC as well as the George Mason University in VA as a Psychology & Theology Major.

She moved back to California in the mid 1970s playing regularly full-time, but did not begin to record until the late 1980s when she finally accepted one of many financial investors offers to record. She first marketed her songs throughout Europe on commercial radio stations obtaining a number one song titled "One Way Ticket" in [[Mallorca]], Spain noted in the ACM newsletter as well as other print publications in August 1988 (page 4 ACM Newsletter). Around that time she also was getting Northern European airplay as well for three other commercial releases.
