Broadmoor High School

Broadmoor Senior High School (usually abbreviated as BHS) is an accredited public high school located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

About the school

Broadmoor High School was founded in 1960 and resides in the center of the historic and urbane Broadmoor neighborhood on 10100 Goodwood Blvd. BHS is part of the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and is under the leadership of Principal Daryl Glueck.

Broadmoor High School is home of the annual well-attended and highly publicized Broadmoor Arts & Crafts Festival held on campus every November. At this event, people from across the country come to sell and buy various arts and foods. This annual event is a great source of revenue for the school.

The most notable of the many student organizations on campus are the John Lay Chapter of the National Honour Society, the National Beta Club, the Student Government Association (SGA), the Presidents' Round Table, Broadmoor Blade (School Newspaper), Buccaneer Log (Yearbook), and Broadmoor Young Life.

Athletics

Broadmoor is currently a competitor in the LHSAA 4A athletic class and all home athletic events are held on campus (field and gym sports). Broadmoor biggest athletic rival is against the neighboring Tara High School Trojans. Broadmoor has very competitive academic and athletic programs.
