Jackopierce

The acoustic rock band Jackopierce was formed by Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce in their hometown of Dallas, Texas, in 1988. Their style focused around vocal harmonies and acoustic guitars which earned the duo a loyal local following and soon began touring the country.

Over the next ten years, Jackopierce toured the world (3 continents, 10 countries, 44 US states) selling out venues everywhere they went. They've shared the stage with artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Matchbox Twenty, Counting Crows, The Wallflowers, Vertical Horizon, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Lyle Lovett, Alanis Morissette, No Doubt, Collective Soul, Train, Semisonic and many others. During that time, they sold over 400,000 records (four independent albums and two on A&M Records). Most of those records they sold on their own right out of the back of their van and RV.

Jackopierce ended their decade-long run in 1997 with a sold-out farewell tour and the release of Decade, a retrospective double-CD featuring many fan favorites as well as new and live material. The farewell tour actually ended 12/31/97.

Since then Jack O’Neill has been living in New York performing as a member of the Bat Theater Company. In 1999 he released an self-entitled EP with his band American Horse. Later he has also released a solo CD entitled Halfway Around The World.

Cary Pierce started a solo career and continued to play all over the country. He has released four solo records and created his own record label, Foreverything Records. Cary has also produced and co-written records for Graham Colton, Jack Ingram, Creede Williams and others.

Due to demand by fans, Jackopierce reunited for sold-out shows in Dallas, Austin and Houston in November 2002. Since then they have continued to play 15-20 shows a year. A new CD has been recorded and it is planned to be released in July 2008, with many CD Release shows planned for all over the US in the Fall of 2008.
