History
Laurel is an old farming community in rural Oregon, located between Hillsboro and Newberg. Laurel Community Church and the Laurel Valley Store began in the late 1800's. The Laurel Hall was built not long after that, and there as a small one room school house.
Present
Laurel, Oregon in Google Maps Laurel lost it's post office, school, and it's recognition as a town in the early 1900's. It presently has several a number of different agricultural farms and plant nursery's, although most of it's residents commute in to Portland, Hillsboro, or Beaverton for work.
