Trichosirius octocarinatus is a species of small sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Capulidae.
Distribution
This species is endemic to New Zealand's Chatham Island, Bounty Island, and Auckland Islands.
Habitat
This snail lives at depths of about 90 m.
Shell description
The shell is smaller and more solid than Trichosirius inornatus, with stronger clathrate sculpture and less prominently shouldered whorls.
The shell coloration is light ochraceous-buff.
The shell height is up to 6.5 mm, and width up to 4.25 mm.
