Charles Tidwell (February 3, 1921 – May 4, 1990) was an American race car driver, best known for his career driving stock cars in NASCAR, GASCAR, and MARC circuits. Tidwell had 2 children, Angela "Connie" Tidwell Frady, and ? Tidwell. His widow, (whom he married in ?) is the owner of his legacy.[1] Tidwell was the first NASCAR driver to have a personal mascot; ["Little Willie" Leonard] an African American whom he befriended inspite of the racial prejudices that existed during the time.
