I don't think this sort of page will work for things like the Hittites, who for much of their history were more a lose confederation of peoples. Nation-states for the most part developed during the second half of the middle ages, and to treat them on par with earlier systems seems a bit odd. Was Alexander's empire a country? Carthage? Athens? The Belgae? That's going to be a lot of countries...I think we should mainly worry about such things under broader headings, like [[History]] or [[Germans]], and leave this page for country-countries like the [[USSR]].
