County Fermanagh is often referred to as Northern Ireland's Lake District. Located in the south-west of Northern Ireland, the region is approx. 120 km from Belfast and 160 km from Dublin.

It is a popular holiday destination for cruising and other water based holidays. The 70 km of lakes known as Lough Erne are now linked to the Shannon system in the Irish Republic via the Shannon-Erne Waterway Canal, making the entire system the longest navigable inland waterway in Europe.

The main town of Fermanagh is Enniskillen. The island town hosts a range of attractions including Enniskillen castle which is home to the museum of The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers.
