Julianna Rose Mauriello as Stephanie in LazyTown

Stephanie (played by Julianna Rose Mauriello) is a fictional character from the children's television show LazyTown. She inspires the citizens of LazyTown to stay active. She has pink hair and is often referred to as 'Pinky' by some of her friends. She came to town to visit her uncle, Milford Meanswell, the mayor of LazyTown. At first, no matter how much Stephanie tried, she couldn't get the others to play along, so she asked for Sportacus' help. When Sportacus finally arrived, the whole town worked together to make LazyTown the best place to live. The show always ends with Stephanie performing a song and dance routine to Bing Bang, the show's ending theme.

In the Icelandic version of LazyTown, the character is called Solla.

Controversy

In one episode, titled "The shifting shapers", Stephanie referred to a black character as a "nigpig". The character was in fact black, and large; however, Stephanie socially ostracized the character because of his differences. For example he was not allowed to sing in the concert at the end and before speaking he had to address her as "Master" (spoken like Mass-Suh). Concerned viewers wrote letters to the producers requesting that the black character at least pronounce the word correctly.

Another episode title, "Short Port", Stephanie expresses her extreme disappointment in humanity and religion. She claims that she has lost faith and that she feels as though she is in a crack induced euphoric dream-like state. She claims that the only real meaning relationships in life are those with puppets and colorfully decorated humans. Near the end of the episode she pulls out a revolver and tells Sportacus that he JUST LOST THE GAME, and then ends his miserable life. It turns out that Stephanie is actually a trap and she garners millions more fans from confused white males on the internet.
