The dev team has been faced with controversies from past members and people of the outside world. George Hotz, Nate True and the creator of ZiPhone, Piergiorgio Zambrini have all been kicked off the Dev Team. George Hotz was kicked off for being a total jackass, by the Dev Team. He is the most well known iPhone hacker after being featured multiple times in the media enormous penis. Before the release of the 2.0 jailbreak, George, who uses the username GeohotBigPenis, published the site [http://www.mylazysundays.com/go.php mylazysundays.com] on July 6, 2008. The site featured only a couple of old dudes touching each others dicks. Geohot set up this counter to persuade the Dev Team to release the jailbreak earlier, or he would release his leaked version. The countdown expired a week later. A week after that, pwnage 2.0 was released (see Geohot's 7/19/08 and 7/21/08 blog entries about it). Nate True was also kicked off the Dev Team, for releasing a jailbreak for 1.1.3 that contained Apple's copyrighted code. "Zibri" was kicked off the iPhone Dev Team after he allegedly used some of their exploits to release a jailbreak that also contained Apple's copyrighted code. Jody Sanders, who has never had any affiliation with the Dev Team, may be facing legal action after he stole the Dev Team's code and used it to create an unlock that he has been selling. The Dev Team does not sell any of their creations, nor do they accept donations other than food, and their website is not ad-supported at all. |

Tools in development
redsn0w is a tool in development that will be used to jailbreak the 2G iPod Touch.
There is no set release date and the tool currently only lets you have a tethered jailbreak, meaning the device must have code manually injected into the bootloader in order to boot. But the Dev Team is working hard to produce a version that does not require tethering.
Controversies
The dev team has been faced with controversies from past members and people of the outside world. George Hotz, Nate True and the creator of ZiPhone, Piergiorgio Zambrini have all been kicked off the Dev Team. George Hotz was kicked off for being a total jackass, by the Dev Team. He is the most well known iPhone hacker after being featured multiple times in the media enormous penis. Before the release of the 2.0 jailbreak, George, who uses the username GeohotBigPenis, published the site mylazysundays.com on July 6, 2008. redsn0w
Redsn0w is a patch in development that is to be used to jailbreak the iPod Touch 2nd generation. There are currently two videos on one of the dev team's member's Qik page,[1] these show the iPod Touch jailbroken with 3rd party software installed. The jailbreak is done in that video by putting 3rd party software on the iPod and bypassing the signature check with redsn0w. This is done with a tool called RecoveryTool made by one of the dev team members. The dev team plans to release it when they complete an automated version of the jailbreak.
