The STAR-Network Team belongs to STAR (Study Association Rotterdam School of Management), a student association for business administration students of the Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University Rotterdam based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. STAR was founded in 1977 and currently has 5,500 members, of which 1,000 members are international. It is the largest Student Association in Europe and well-known in the Benelux. The Network Team is one of the 32 committees within STAR and is responsible for maintaining long term relationships with Embassies and Chambers of Commerce. It is their job to approach potential speakers for the conferences held in the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Mission: The mission of the STAR Network Team is to manage and establish STAR's network of stakeholders by engaging long-term relations with stakeholders and by ensuring that these people stay close to the organization.

General description The STAR Network Team is fully responsible for managing relations with others. In a world in which personal contact and attention are the key elements in terms of long-term relationships so that parties are able to mutually benefit from each other, STAR strives to treat their contacts in an effective and appropriate manner. Frequently, the Network- Team (NT) has contact with our Board of Recommendation, a group of head-of-state business people in primarily CEO or Founder positions. Besides this, networking includes becoming acquainted with embassies, ministries, business clubs, professors, and others who may be important to our organization.

The STAR Network Team is also responsible for finding new network possibilities. The NT does its own research regarding how to establish new, valuable contacts and, afterward, enter the field and create enthusiasm. Furthermore, working together with the board and other relevant committees, such as the STAR Management Week Committee and the Rotterdam Conference Group, the Network Team helps to secure renowned speakers for STAR conferences and congresses. Members Current Chaiman of the Network Team 2008/2009 is Eomer Zwijnenberg. The supervisor of the Network Team is Chris van Wijnen, member of the STAR Board 2008/2009. The Team is divided into separate Taskforces, namely the Taskforce Chamber of Commerce, the Taskforce Embassies and the Taskforce Speakers.
