Raugi Yu is a Canadian actor who has had many roles in film and in television.


Biography

Personal Life

Raugi (born in Montreal, Canada in 1972) is of Taiwanese descent and currently resides in Delta, British Columbia Canada with his wife Sandi and their two young children.

Career

In Montreal, Raugi trained at the Dome Theatre. He then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where he earned his BFA through the acting program at UBC. For the past twelve years, Raugi has worked as a film and television actor, director as well as an acting coach. He has also had roles in musical theater and Shakespeare.

In the late 1990's, Yu began appearing on television. In 1998 he played in one episode of The Sentinel. In 2001, he played the Cook in several episodes of the popular children's cartoon, Sagwa, the Chinese cat and also in an episode of Dark Angel. From 2002 - 2004, he appeared in three episodes of DaVinci's Inquest. He was seen in one episode of Gather Up Little People episodes of Dead Like Me in 2003, two episodes of The Dead Zone in 2003 and 2004, as well as playing the Chinese son in Spook in 2003.

In 2006 Yu played in numerous television series episodes on shows such as, Intelligence, and Masters Of Horror. In 2007 he was in Dennis in When A man Falls in the Forrest and Wayne Kwan in a episode of Eureka. Most recently, Yu was seen as Kam Fung on all eight episodes of j Pod.

In the spring of 2008, Yu directed The Odd Couple for the Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre company. He is a former Shakespearean actor at Bard On The Beach Company in Vancouver, BC and has been teaching children's workshops every summer for the passed ten years at Bard.
