Michal Neuvirth (born March 23, 1988) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender. Neuvirth was selected 34th overall in the second round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals. He is currently playing backup to José Théodore with the Capitals. He began the season in the ECHL with the Capitals' affiliate, the South Carolina Stingrays, and was an ECHL all-star. He was called up to the Hershey Bears and was re-called to the Capitals when Simeon Varlamov was sidelined due to injury. He was a member of the Plymouth Whalers, but was traded on November 13, 2007 to Windsor along with defenceman Tom Kane and Plymouth's 2009 4th round draft pick in exchange for defenceman Michal Jordan, goaltender Matt Hackett, a 2008 second round OHL draft pick, and a third round pick in 2009. On January 8, 2008, he was traded yet again to the Oshawa Generals along with Ryan Baldwin for forward Justin Shugg, goaltender Jakub Kovář and second-round picks in 2008 and 2011.

Neuvrith recorded a 5-1 victory in his first NHL appearance on February 14, 2009 versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. He made 31 saves, including an unbelievable glove save on Vincent Lecavalier on a breakaway.

Neuvirth made his home debut on February 26, 2009 against the Atlanta Thrashers. He recorded a win while making 21 saves.
