Touchstone

Touchstone are a rock band from the UK, formed in 2003 by Rob Cottingham and Adam Hodgson. Other band members include bassist Paul Moorghen, singer Kim Seviour and drummer Alasdair Melville.

Their first album under this format was the critically acclaimed Discordant Dreams, receiving praise and press coverage from Geoff Barton of Classic Rock Magazine, Jeff Wayne (War Of The Worlds), Rick Wakeman of Yes and most recently from Jeremy Irons. The album was recorded and mixed by John Mitchell (It Bites, Frost*, Kino) at his studios in Reading, Berkshire, and he appears as guest guitarist on the track "Dignity".

The album led the band to win the Classic Rock Society Best New Band 2007 award, presented by John Wetton of Asia. Touchstone are due to perform at the Cambridge Rock Festival in 2009 alongside Asia, Focus, Karnataka, Breathing Space and many others in support of their new release Wintercoast, which features an opening narrative from the Oscar winning actor Jeremy Irons.

The band are also due to perform at the United States Rites Of Spring Festival which takes place annually in Glenside near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
