Zoostorm are manufacturers of PC systems, Computers, laptops, notebooks and peripherals based in the UK[1]. In the past 2 years Zoostorm have won over 70 independent awards from magazine reviews for quality, performance and value, one example comes from a PC Advisor review in August 2007[2] . At present Zoostorm are currently developing a new website[3].

The Zoostorm brand is owned by CMS Computers[4]. CMS Computers was established in 1993 . According to the latest Microsoft figures, CMS Computers is the 5th largest manufacturer of desktop PCs, laptops in the UK[5] , and the third largest manufacturer of Intel based systems in the UK [6].

CMS Computers are a Microsoft Gold Partner [7] and every system Zoostorm produce are WHQL certified and comes preinstalled with official Windows software.

The Fizzbook by Zoostorm is designed for children and has a rugged drop tested to 60cm and splash proof design[8] . It also utilises the new Intel Atom processor which delivers increased computing performance, yet lower, more efficient power consumption than any other mobile processor [9]. A high resolution 8.9” screen with a 30GB hard drive, with a range of accessories and educational software including external drives, storage devices and child development applications linked to key stage[10].

Fizzbook

A small ruggedized laptop aimed towards children and education as it has been constructed quite robustly, with an armoured plastic body [11] . Designed for use by children from eight to forteen years old[12].

Zoostorm Fizzbook Lite

Small sized, rugged child friendly design, low power usage, extra security controls and full windows XP operating system for maximum compatibility with existing home and school PCs. The Fizzbook by Zoostorm is the first featured mini laptop for children aged 6-14 [13] . Featuring 4 GB hard drive, 512MB of memory and a 7”screen with 800x480 resolution, this Intel atom powered laptop and four an a half hour battery life, comes with speakers a built in microphone and 54Mbit/s wireless connectivity[14].

Zoostorm Fizzbook Bang

The Fizzbook Bang is the modification of the second generation Intel Classmate PC[15].

Featuring a 30GB hard drive, 1 GB of memory and an 8.9” screen with 1024x600 resolution, this Intel Atom powered laptop features a four and a half hour battery life, comes with speakers, a built in microphone and 54Mbit/s wireless connectivity. It’s the perfect companion for every Childs learning and development [16] .

Zoostorm Fizzbook Spin

The newest addition to the Zoostorm Fizzbook family is the Fizzbook Spin, a tablet PC. Featuring a web cam, a 180 degrees rotating screen, a stylus pen and a rugged case [17] .

Zoostorm have also appeared on the BBC [20]and CBBC Newsround promoting the Fizzbook to the education sector . Zoostorm PC systems have received review is magazine such as Computer Shopper [21] . Zoostorm Laptops have also been reviewed in What Laptop Magazine[22]
