:Hi sineed. First, allow me to apologize for taking so long to respond. I haven't been very active on Wikipedia lately. Unfortunately, this is an area in which I am completely clueless. I don't see why a redirect couldn't be created (it seems to have been protected simply because of repeated copyright violations), but you'd probably be better off contacting someone from the [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Terrorism|Terrorism WikiProject]]. They would know much better than I the correct course of action. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Just a question

Hi Faithless. There has been this long edit war in the Felicia Tilman article. A AfD discussion resulted in "Merge" into the Desperate Housewives characters article, but after several months a "group of users" (I suspect it is the same person) has been reverting the merger, and despite people have been telling them to add real world stuff to prove Notability of the character, they have not provided anything useful nor sourced. Where is the appropiated place to report this?? --LoЯd ۞pεth 16:21, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Opeth, sorry for the late reply; I've been neglecting WP a bit lately. I'm reluctant to get in the middle of this personally, since I'm completely unfamiliar with the show (not to mention the dispute). After a quick glance, it seems that you're absolutely right, though. Are any of the regular contributors to these articles admins? We had a similar situation a couple months ago with a couple HP redirects (Luna Lovegood and Sirius Black, if memory serves). If I were in your shoes, I'd just bring this up with an admin familiar with the situation, and s/he can protect the redirects in question. Hope this helps - if you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask (I'll try and answer more promptly!). Best, faithless (speak) 08:30, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to create Institute for Conflict Management as a redirect to South Asian Terrorism Portal

Since this article seems to have been problematic, perhaps it should be partially protected? Would an alternative be to create it, but leave it fully protected, as a redirect? My concern is that this site www.satp.org is being used a good bit throughout WP, and I find few references to it outside WP. I would like interested editors to be able to have a WP article to look at for possible sources... or to note the lack of them... when considering using it.

Whether you decide to create the page or not, thank you for your time, attention, and for doing the admin thing.- sinneed (talk) 18:58, 31 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request to participate in University of Washington survey on tool to quickly understand Wikipedians’ reputations

Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington. In April, we met with some local Wikipedians to learn what they would like to know about other editors’ history and activities (within Wikipedia) when interacting with them on talk pages. The goal of those sessions was to gather feedback to help design an embedded application that could quickly communicate useful information about other Wikipedians. We have now created a few images that we feel represent some of what our participants thought was important. We would appreciate it if you took a few minutes of your time to complete an online survey that investigates whether or not these images would be useful to you. Your quick contribution would be very valuable to our research group and ultimately to Wikipedia. (When finished, the code for this application will be given over to the Wikipedia community to use and/or adjust as they see fit.)

Willing to spend a few minutes taking our survey? Click this link.

Please feel free to share the link with other Wikipedians. The more feedback, the better! The survey is completely anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. All data is used for university research purposes only.

Thank you for your time! If you have any questions about our research or research group, please visit our user page. Commprac01 (talk) 01:00, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
