The Keddie Murders was a 1981 American quadruple-murder that took place in a remote resort town in Northern California. The victims were a mother, her teenage son, his male friend, and her eldest daughter. While the bodies of the mother and two teenage boys were discovered at the scene, the daughter's remains were not found until three years later. There was much speculation around the crimes, but no arrests were made and the cabin in which the murders took place was demolished in 2006 [1]. The case to this day remains unsolved.

Details of the crime

On April 11, 1981 in Cabin #28 of the Keddie Resort in Keddie, Plumas County, California. Glenna Sharp, 36, had been staying at the cabin for several months, along with her four children. On the night of April 11, 1981, Glenna, her 15-year-old son John and 17-year-old family friend Dana Wingate were bludgeoned and stabbed by still unknown assailants. The bodies were found by Sharp's 14-year-old daughter, Sheila Sharp, the next morning. She had spent the previous night at a friend's house. Glenna Sharp's 9-year old and 5-year old sons, along with their friend, were in another room of the cabin, unharmed. They had apparently slept through the murders. Sharp's 13-year-old daughter Tina was missing from the scene. Tina Sharp's severed head was discovered three years later by a bottle digger, 50 miles away near Feather Falls.

As of 2009, no arrests have been made in the case, which remains unsolved to this day.[2][3]
