The Elections Reform Support Group or ERSG is an organization co-chaired by the United States and the European Union to coordinate the reform of the Palestine electoral system founded in 2002.<ref name = "IFES_WB&G"> http://www.ifes.org/westbankgaza.html?page=past IFES-West Bank/Gaza. Members include the states of Denmark, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.<ref name = "IFES_WB&G"> Also international orginizations such as the European Commission, the office of the European Union Presidency, the United Nations and the United Nations Development Program participate in this program.<ref name = "IFES_WB&G">

The organization is supported by a number of contractors including the International Foundation for Electoral Systems which joined the support of the Group in 2003.<ref name = "IFES_WB&G">

Activities

The program has acted to develop and implement a project to draft election law with the PLC Legal Committee in close coordination with appropriate USAID Mission personnel.<ref name = "IFES_WB&G">

Through the Group the European Union provided five elections experts and 10 million Euros to support the project, UNDP/PAPP provided two experts, Japan contributed 1 million dollars, Canada contributed 1.2 million Canadia dollars and an expert, Norway contibuted 1 million dollars and Denmark provided 300,000 dollars.>[1]
