Heart Internet Heart Internet is a web hosting company based in Nottingham, UK selling domain names, shared hosting, reseller hosting and dedicated servers.

History

Heart Internet was founded by Tim Beresford and Jonathan Brealey who had previously set up and run web hosting companies WebFusion in 1997 & its sister brand 123-reg in 2001. In March 2003 Jonathan and Tim left the company and in 2004 they launched Heart Internet[1], selling domain names, Linux shared hosting, Linux reseller hosting and free web hosting. In November 2008 Linux and Windows dedicated servers were added to the product line and in January 2009 Windows reseller hosting was launched[2]. In July 2009 Heart Internet made an API available to its reseller services[3] to enable their resellers to build applications using the Heart Internet reseller platform.

Since the company’s formation in 2004 it has grown to become one of the UK’s largest web hosts[4] and in November 2009 it was named the UKs 2nd fastest growing technology company[5]. It is also a member and tag holder of Nominet[6], enabling it to directly register and update .uk domains on behalf of customers.

Heart Telecom

In June 2008 Heart Internet launched its sister brand Heart telecom offering phone services to small businesses and home professionals and in March 2009 it added business broadband to its product portfolio[7].
