Intel's Math Kernel Library is a library of optimized, math routines for science, engineering, and financial applications. Core math functions include BLAS, LAPACK, ScaLAPACK, Sparse Solvers, Fast Fourier Transforms and Vector Math.
The library supports Intel and compatible processors and is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X operating systems.
History
Intel launched the Math Kernel Library on May 9, 2003.[1] Originally called blas.lib, it's development staff consists of a team that has stayed intact since the 1990's and also includes professors from Novosibirsk State University and members of the Russian Academy of Science.
