Van Lanschot NV (the holding company of F. van Lanschot Bankiers NV) is a financial institution of Dutch origin offering private banking and asset management services. Van Lanschot’s services mainly focus on high net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and institutional investors. Van Lanschot is the oldest independent bank in the Netherlands with a history dating back to 1737. It is the fifth largest bank in the Netherlands.
Van Lanschot has been listed on the Euronext Amsterdam stock exchange since 1999.

Van Lanschot’s services to high net-worth individuals revolve around wealth creation and protection. In the corporate sector, the bank focuses on services to entrepreneurs, to meet the private as well as the professional needs of business owners and managers. In the institutional market, Van Lanschot particularly focuses on comprehensive fiduciary investment solutions.
Under the Van Lanschot Kempen brand, the bank focuses on the topsegment of high net-worth individuals (> € 5 million). In addition, the bank’s subsidiary Kempen & Co also serves the institutional market and offers investment services. Furthermore, Van Lanschot offers financial services specifically for the healthcare sector under the CenE Bankiers brand.

In the Netherlands, Van Lanschot has thirty offices, in most large cities. These offices are usually located in historic buildings. In Belgium, Van Lanschot has eight offices. Furthermore, the bank has branches in Luxembourg, Switzerland and on Curaçao and Jersey and has representative offices in France and Spain.

Sponsorship
Van Lanschot has established sponsoring partnerships within the areas of art and culture and golf. The bank is a sponsor of the Dutch art and antiques fair PAN Amsterdam, the Netherlands Bach Society, and the International Fransz Liszt Piano Competition, among others. Furthermore, Van Lanschot is head sponsor of the Dutch Golf Federation, Dutch golfer Maarten Lafeber, Golf Team Holland, and sponsor of several golf teams and events.
History
The history of Van Lanschot dates back to 1737, when Cornelis van Lanschot founded a trading house in 's-Hertogenbosch.
From the bank's origins in 1737 until the death of Jan Cees van Lanschot in 1991, a member of the Van Lanschot family was CEO of the bank. From 1991 to 2002 Bert Heemskerk was CEO. In 2002 he was succeeded by Floris Deckers.
In 2004 Van Lanschot acquired CenE Bankiers (financial services for the healthcare sector) [2] and in 2007 Van Lanschot acquired Kempen & Co. [3]
The family van Lanschot married with some members of the noble family van Meeuwen.
