Andrew Holtz, MPH, is a former CNN Medical Correspondent, and now an independent journalist covering health and medicine. He is the author of The Medical Science of House, M.D.[1] (Berkley Books, 2006). His next book, The Real Grey's Anatomy, will be published by Berkley Books in 2010.

Mr. Holtz is currently hosting a daily news program for MDiTV[2], a Portland, OR based online TV network.

Holtz writes the ScriptDoctor: Medicine in the Media column for Oncology Times.[3][4]

Holtz's work has appeared on the PBS[5] HealthWeek program, ScientificAmerican.com, the-scientist.com, HealthNewsReview.com and many other news media outlets.

Holtz is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Health Care Journalists. He was President of the board from 2000 to 2004.

Biography

Andrew Holtz earned a Master of Public Health degree in the Oregon MPH program.+ His thesis research explored antismoking campaigns directed at youth. Holtz received his BA from Stanford University. He majored in broadcast communication and was News Director of radio station KZSU-FM. He minored in physics. He graduated Cum Laude from the Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire.
