Ramona Marquez (born March 2001) is an award winning English child actress, most famous for her role as Karen in the BBC One sitcom Outnumbered.[1]
Marquez had no acting training prior to her role as Karen in Outnumbered. She was spotted by one of the script writers' wives who noticed Marquez's confident and comical personality and unique appearance at a party.[2] Ramona is the daughter of Spanish-born actor Martin Marquez.[3]
She played Imogen Pollock, the daughter of Enid Blyton, in the 2009 BBC Four Enid, alongside Helena Bonham Carter.
In 2009, Marquez won the British Comedy Award for "Best Female Comedy Newcomer", along with two other shared awards for Outnumbered at the same awards, including "Best TV comedy".[4]
