Monroe Middle School is located in San Jose, California and is part of the Campbell Union School District. Monroe is a California Distinguished School.


Academics and Activities

Sports

Monroe has a total of six different after school sports: Basketball, Soccer, Wrestling, Volleyball, Track and Field, and Cross Country. The Mavericks are in the West Valley Athletic League with nine other schools.

Music Program

Mr. Ari Brown is the Music Director, and teaches Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, and Jazz Bands.
Mr. Brown has been a musician since the age of 5 and holds degrees in Trumpet Performance, Jazz Studies, and Music Education from the University of Illinois. He is a student of Ray Sasaki, Tom Wirtel, David Miller, and Tim Farrell. Born near Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Brown moved to San Jose to become the Director of music at MMS.
The parent booster organization is FoMM (Friends of Monroe Music)
