Bar Italia in SoHo Bar Italia is a coffee shop in Soho Central London. It is on Frith Street. On January 27, 1926, John Logie Baird gave the first public demonstration of television at 22 Frith Street, the building where Bar Italia [1] is located.

The Blue Plaque above the Front door shows this clearly, there is also a Film about this, but find it, proves to be a bit more difficult

Bar Italia in its present form was open as a coffee shop in 1949 by the Polledri Family, and is still owned by Veronica and Anthony Po[[File:

]]lledri today.

in the bar today you can often find Locals mixing with Visitors, Film and theatre people from all Walks of life.
