The Nokia C6 is a smartphone and portable entertainment device by Nokia. It was announced on April 13, 2010. It is similar to Nokia Nuron 5230 with a sliding QWERTY keypad. The handset is similar to N97 mini, but the sliding in this phone is straight, unlike the angled one in N97 mini, and hence allows 4 rows in QWERTY keypad, which makes it slightly better for typing. The phone has a 5 mega pixel camera, with support for a dual camera for video chats.
All application and games for similar handsets like N97, N97 mini, 5800, 5230 etc will be compatible with this handset.
The biggest drawback with recent line of nokia touch screen handsets is they all are based on Symbian series 60 version 5 (S60v5), and nokia insists on keeping the same hardware specification found in oldest device of that platform, i.e. C6 released in 2010 has same set of specification for memory, processor as those found in N97 and N97 mini released in 2008. Nokia must pep up their configuration system to keep up with Iphones and Androids of the present.
