Alfie Joey is a British comedian and radio presenter. He currently co-presents the BBC Newcastle breakfast show.

He has featured in numerous radio and television shows, such as and Mitch Benn's Crimes Against Music and Ideal. He was a founder member of the The Unbroadcastable Radio Show, a monthly live comedy show, at The Comedy Store in Manchester.

Born in Peterlee, County Durham,[1] his first home was a working men's club and trained as a priest then religious brother (alongside Anna Nolan, the nun who appeared in the first UK series of Big Brother).[2] His early jobs have included impersonating Stan Laurel to demonstrating toys at Harrods.[2]

In 2003 he performed a show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in a Mini. Alfie Joey's Mini Cabaret attracted a positive review from comedy website Chortle.[2] He was nominated Best Compère at the 2006 Chortle Awards.[3]
