Mečislovas Gedvilas (1901-1981) was a Lithuanian politician who served as the Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic from 25 August 1940 to 2 April 1946 (in exile in Russian SFSR from 1941 until 1944), and Chairmen of the Council of Ministers from 2 April 1945 to 16 January 1956.[1]

Gedvilas was awarded the Order of Lenin.
