Keiwan Deshawn Spillman (born January 16, 1980 [citation needed] in Long Beach, California) better known by his stage name Goldie Loc is a rapper who was once a member of Tha Eastsidaz with Snoop Dogg and Tray Deee.
Discography
Goldie Loc is known to the world for his vicious flow & major street credibility. Half of the supergroup Tha Eastsidaz, Goldie has production ability and talent to either parallel or surpass the best.
After beginning to develop his flow at 13, Goldie had reached regional stardom before finishing high school. He became known to the world making hits during the No Limit era with Snoop Dogg. Snoop had just left Death Row and the state of California. Goldie brought him back to the hood and back to the rich rolling gangsta music his fans had grown to love.
When the group Tha Eastsidaz was formed with Goldie Loc and Tray Dee, it changed the hood and the music industry forever. With their freshman effort surpassing platinum status, Tha Eastsidaz took fans through a journey of gangsta rap unseen since NWA.
Goldie and Tray Dee together were so huge to Long Beach because of both having reputable affiliation with Rollin 20s Crips and the Insane Crip Gang, known rivals on the street. The group changed the game. The groups second album surpassed platinum. Then everything for the group came crashing down. While working on a third album, Tray Dee was involved in a shootout that sent him to prison. After that Goldie took a vacation from the industry going hard in the streets.
Just recently the young vet has returned to the game bringing the heat! You can hear him all over Snoops new album Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. He is also a member of the hot new group Warzone with MC Eiht and West Coast KAM.
The Loc has also started a production company where he will be supplying his hit making beats to the best of the rap game.
A solo album is in the works as you read this. The future has a lot of Goldie Loc in it for all his fans.
