John Earle Lewis (born July, 23 1981) is a singer/songwriter from Jacksonville, Florida.

History

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida John Earle began playing music at the early age of 13. Playing the guitar as well as the drums and piano he was already performing in front of crowds at just 15 years old. Never limiting himself, John wasn’t satisfied with just playing music so he began writing it as well.

Knowing that music was his passion he traded his day job of managing restaurants to pursue his dream of being a full-time musician in August 2009. While this was a gamble, it paid off. He has been successful in making a full time career out of playing local venues. He is well-known throughout Jacksonville, Florida as well as surrounding counties.

In February 2010 he expanded his one man act into a band adding both a drummer (Brent Couch) and a saxophonist (Johnny Flood) to his hip acoustic pop music. His music is often compared to Jason Mraz, John Mayer, and Slightly Stoopid. John Earle released his first EP, “Free Your Mind” in January 2010. He spent nearly two years working on this initial release, which has a total of four songs. He's quoted saying his favorite song to perform that he has written is a song on this particular EP called "Traveling Free". "It is an upbeat song with a reggae feel that is easy to move my feet to, but it also encompasses my message within its lyrics." However, it wasn’t too long after he followed with his second EP, called “Summertime” in July 2010.
