The Weeks

The Weeks are an alternative rock band from Jackson, Mississippi.[1]

The band was formed by Cain Barnes (drums, percussion), Chaz Lindsay (vocals, rhythm guitar, vibraslap), Cyle Barnes (lead vocals), Damien Bone (bass), and Sammy D (lead guitar, glockenspiel, piano, vocals).[2] The band signed to the Esperanza Plantation label, with the debut album, Comeback Cadillac, released in July 2008.[2] The album blended southern rock and alternative, and featured a duet with labelmate Allie Peden on "Sailor Song".[1] The album suggested a strong influence from Kings of Leon,[3] with Rilo Kiley, The Mars Volta, and My Morning Jacket also suggested as influences.[4] A second album, Rumspringa, followed in 2009.
