::Says the writers of this article. We have become the foremost information for source about The Game. I always refer people to the wikipedia article when there is a rule dispute. There is no need to cite sources, because the Game is not something that HAS sources. Also, I agree, you cannot choose whether to play the game or not. Once you have heard of it, you are playing it. --[[User:Liface|Liface]] 19:50, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Spanish Translation

El Juego is played by many Spanish people. Could someone translate the rules on to Spanish wikipedia here.

self-referential

"The Game is an abstract, self-referential mental game"

In what way is The Game self-referential, what does this even mean in this context? Kernow 19:21, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think the author was pointing out that the way you lose The Game is by remember The Game's existence. --Clyde 16:59, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Reading some of the archived discussions a lot of people seem to be confused by this first sentence. I suggest removing the 'self-referential' bit as it is a bit confusing and not really necessary. Kernow 22:55, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Participation in The Game

"Of course, this is contingent upon the reader accepting them."

Participation in a game requires neither consent to play or awareness of its existence. Kernow 18:08, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Says who? Come to think of it, this article really needs to cite it's sources. --JiFish(Talk/Contrib) 18:13, 27 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
