Peyton Siva (born October 24, 1990[1]) is a Sophomore point guard for the 2010-11 University of Louisville men's basketball team. Siva attended Franklin High School in Seattle where, as a senior, he averaged 18.1 points, 5.3 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 steals.[2] After leading Franklin to the Class 3A state championship[3], Siva was a unanimous selection for AP Washington Player of the Year[3], was named a McDonalds All-American[4], and was named Mr. Basketball in the state of Washington.[2]
During his Freshman season, Siva played limited minutes as a reserve under starter Edgar Sosa. Starting his Sophomore year, Siva was Louisville's starting point guard, playing heavy minutes immediately in part due to an early-season injury to backup Russ Smith. In consecutive games against West Virginia and Connecticut, Siva hit game-winning layups in the final seconds to give Louisville one-point victories[5][6]. For the 2010-2011 season, Peyton Siva, is averaging 10.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.0 steals in 27.9 minutes per game for the Cardinals.[7]
