Johnny Jolin (born October 17, 1964 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania) is a notable American country music artist. He is best known as the frontman of the critically-acclaimed Johnny Jolin Band,[1]being the lead vocalist for Country/Folk group The Front Porch Country Band[2]and in 2011 by his Top-Ten hit single "Thank God."[3][4][5]

His career began after winning a talent search competition while serving ten years in the U.S. Army.[6] Before reaching “head-liner” status he spent his early days opening for many popular Nashville recordings artists of the late 1980s and 1990s including Confederate Railroad, Hank Williams III, David Lee Murphy, Ricochet, Jeff Carson, Chely Wright and Steve Wariner.[7] Hank Williams III deemed Jolin “The Eddie Van Halen of Country Music” because of his blend of guitar solos and country classics which also garnered him the title Rockin' Rollin' Johnny Jolin.[8]

In April, 2004 Johnny was invited by the US. China Foundation to do a two week tour of Mainland China as front man of The Front Porch Country Band.[9] [10]

After heavy east coast touring Jolin began receiving regional country radio airplay which lead to his popular self-penned live songs “Girl Like That” and “Bedroom Eyes” getting picked up by nationally-syndicated Conman Radio.[11] "Girl Like That" and "Bedroom Eyes" were co-written with Cal Phillips.[12]

On May 10, 2010 Johnny Jolin and the Front Porch Country Band opened for Randy Travis.[13]

On June 17th, 2010 Johnny Jolin signed with Nashville's LWM Records.[14] The label's website states: "LWM Records is a co-venture between Living Wills Music (BMI) and country music star Johnny Jolin.[15]

On April 9th, 2011 he released his LWM Records debut single “Thank God” to radio.[16] The single climbed the Christian Country Top 100 for 6-months before peaking at #6 in November, 2011.[17][18] "Thank God" was written by Nashville songwriter Andrew Scott Wills.
