Empalme Olmos is a town in the Canelones Department of southern Uruguay. It is located at the junction of Route 8 with Routes 82 and 34, about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) northeast of the city of Pando. It was elevated to "Pueblo" (town) category on 3 November 1952 by decree Ley No. 11.877.[1]

Population

In 2004 it had a population of 3,978.[2] For the year 2010 the Intendencia de Canelones recorded a population of 5,497 during the elections.[3]
