Professor Abu Sayeed
Professor Abu Sayeed (Bengali: আবু সাঈদ Arabic :أبو سعيد) (born 1st November 1945) is a Bangladeshi politician. [1] He was the Information Minister of the State (June 6 1996 - July 15 2001). [2] Former professor of Rajshahi University and was also nominated as senate member. Elected with huge votes in the national assembly election of the then united Pakistan in 1970. He was a prominent member of the committee for drafting the Constitution of Bangladesh. He was designated as the governor of Pabna district by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975.
Personal Life
Abu Sayeed has 1 daughter Ahrita Shahid, 2 sons Ali Nazir Sayeed and Anim Sayeed [3]
Married Dilruba Anguri who is the General Secretary of BHWA (Bangladesh Homeworkers Women Association) a non-profit NGO which serves and aid Bangladeshi homebased women workers through-out the country since 1986, moving towards improving their socio-economic status.
