Matthew Harris (also known as Matt) (born 1972)is Canadian Politician (St. Catharines City Councillor- St. Andrew's Ward), Director of St. Catharines Hydro Inc, Chairman of the Niagara Health System Foundation Board,General Manager of Sundawn Integrated Services, and proud St. Catharines resident.

Matt Harris, City Councillor for St. Andrews Ward (Ward 2) is the General Manager of Sundawn Integrated Services (1997) a premier leader in the HVAC industry, and in this role he is responsible for the company's business development, community initiatives, and overall day-to-day operations. Matt has overseen the development of the "Sundawn Service Alliance" - a network of country-wide subcontractors that assist with servicing Sundawn's growing national account base.

With a background in social services, Matt has worked and volunteered with various social service agencies throughout St. Catharines and the Niagara Region. He previously served on the Board of the Housing Help Centre, founded and co-chaired the Canadian Mental Health Association Golf Classic and served on committees with Ontario Homes for Special Care and Suicide Prevention Network. Matt is heavily involved with the St. Catharines Hospital Foundation and is a current board member of Community Care-St. Catharines and Thorold, St. Catharines Minor Lacrosse Association. Matt is also the current Chair of the Niagara Health System Foundation (NHSF).

Matt & his wife Shawna, proud parents of five children, are life-long residents of St. Catharines.

As life-long residents of St. Catharines, Matt & his wife Shawna, are proud parents of five active, energetic children. Through their children, Matt & Shawna are very involved with many sports associations and clubs in the community, contributing to the well-being of today’s youth.

Matt has experience in both the public and private sectors. As the general manager of Sundawn Integrated Services, Matt is responsible for the company’s business development, community initiatives and overall day-to-day operations. Building the company from scratch in 1997, Matt has witnessed Sundawn Integrated Services’ rise to become a premier leader in the HVAC industry. Recently, Matt hired several new employees in St. Catharines and oversaw the development of the Sundawn Service Alliance – a network of countrywide sub-contractors that assists with servicing Sundawn’s growing national account base.

With a background in social services, Matt has also worked and volunteered with various social service agencies in Niagara. He has previously served on the Board of the Housing Help Centre, as a Founder and Co-Chair of the Canadian Mental Health Association Golf Classic, on committees with Ontario Homes for Special Care and Suicide Prevention Network.

Demonstrating a continued interest in the well-being of his community, Matt is a City Councillor for the City of St. Catharines representing St. Andrew’s, Ward 2 and a proud supporter of many local organizations. In addition to his involvement with the Niagara Health System Foundation, Matt is a current board member of Community Care-St. Catharines and Thorold and St. Catharines Minor Lacrosse Association. For almost a decade, Sundawn Integrated Services has been the Presenting Sponsor for the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation’s Annual Golf Classic helping to raise over $600,000 for capital equipment needs. Matt and his family have shown an unwavering commitment and dedication toward improving healthcare in Niagara.

Matt is excited about his new role as Vice-Chair, Governance and Nominations with the NHS Foundation and continuing to support and provide leadership for healthcare in the Niagara Region. Community Involvment
