Prahlad Pandey is an Indian politician and spokesperson of Aam Admi Party, Madhya Pradesh. He is active in mobilizing, organizing people and building party cadre in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

Early life

Born in a small village Rajapur of Satna District in Madhya Pradesh, Prahlad completed his education up to class 10th in Chhidwada District. He graduated in History, Economics and Political Science in the year 2000 from Govt JT College Nagod, Satna. He did B Ed from Govt College of Education, Dewas in 2001. He then did his post graduation in Business Economics in 2003 from APS University Rewa. He taught in a government school in Satna from 2003 to 2005. He qualified UGC-NET in Economics in 2006. He taught various dicsiplines of MBA Course in ICFAI National College between 2005 and 2009. He came to Indore in 2009 and taught in some reputed Business Schools. Prahlad with other young boys in the village united all the voters and boycotted the voting. There were only two votes casted in the polling booth in 1998 assembly election. Prahlad lived in his village and had to go to school, which was in the town, facing the troubles of walking on the muddy road and swimming the river. People of his village had given up the demands of construction of road and bridge after no public representative paid attention. He again united all his villagers in 2010 and fielded a peoples’ candidate in the Gram Panchayat election. Peoples’ Candidate could not win the election but it awakened people and raised hope that there is a place for clean politics.

India Against Corruption and Aam Admi Party

Anguished with scams after scams, Prahlad got a chance to put the foundation stone of India Against Corruption Movement in Indore in January 2011. He led the movement with the help of Art of Living and Bharat Swabhiman Trust. Leading the movement in odd situations, Prahlad left his job and his Ph D half way in September 2011 to spread the movement in entire Madhya Pradesh. Meanwhile he worked as Visiting Faculty, Corporate Trainer and editorial team Member of a magzine. During Lokpal Movement in Indore, He got a written support from three Members of Parliament – Indore MP Sumitra Mahajan, Ujjain MP Premchand Guddu and Dewas MP Sajjan Singh Verma. He also fasted for five days. He led the protest against Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan alleging his role in coal scam. He was arrested. Prahlad refuged to take bail as a token of protest and spent two days in Jail. 33 years old, Prahlad is the founder member of Aam Aadmi Party. Apart from Madhya Pradesh, He has played a pivotal role in formation of Aam Aadmi Party in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. He campaigned for Aam Aadmi Party for five months in Delhi and played an important role in the victory of the party in Delhi. He is Spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party, Madhya Pradesh and member of party’s state executive and national council.

Personal life

Prahlad lives in Sudama Nagar Indore with his wife and son. He workes full-time for the party and his joint family supports economically and emotionally him for this noble cause of nation building. He has a motor cycle ikn the name of property. Prahlad has two cases against him. First, for protesting against CM for his alleged role in coal scam. And second, for protesting against CM for occupying two bunglow. Prahlad has presented papers in national and international seminars. His articles have published in Nai Duniya and Dainik Jagran. He also writes off and on for some news portals. He has also spoken in prestigious TEDx Talk in 2011. Prahlad friends see him as an Honest, dedicated and visionary leader. Prahlad wants to establish transparent, participative and decentralized democracy in India.
