Kriti Sanon (born c. 1990/1991)[1][3] is an Indian model and film actress.[5][6] She will be making her Hindi film debut opposite newcomer Tiger Shroff in Heropanti (2014), a remake of the 1983 film Hero.[7] Currently in post-production stages, the film is slated for a May 23, 2014 release.[8][9]
Early life and background
Sanon was born in c. 1990/1991[3][2] to Rahul Sanon, a Chartered Accountant and Geeta Sanon, an Associate Professor at Delhi University.[4] She has one sibling, Nupur. Sanon did her schooling from Delhi Public School, R K Puram and completed Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication, from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida.[4]
Acting career
Sanon made her acting debut in Sukumar's Telugu film 1: Nenokkadine (2014) as Sameera, opposite Mahesh Babu.[10] Upon release, the film received mixed reviews from critics.[11] For her performance however, Sanon garnered mainly positive reviews, with a Times Of India critic saying, "Kriti Sanon looks pretty and acts well enough to justify her role".[12] A critic at Deccan Chronicle wrote, "Kriti Sanon is the next best thing in the film. This debutante has acted like a veteran".[13] A reviewer at Sify.com however, though praised her for her beauty, was a bit more neutral of her overall performance, "Kriti Sanon looks gorgeous. For a newcomer, her performance is okay".[14]
