Early Life & Music Career

Lubabalo Myana (born August 28, 1995)better known by his stage name Blackk Lu is a South African recording artist, songwriter and a producer from Mdantsane, Eastern Cape. Started writing his raps at senior primary and pursued music in 2009, in 2010 together with his friends formed a group and used J-Squard beats to write their raps. In 2011 Lu bought a condenser microphone and used his father’s laptop to create beats and for recording. Lubabalo has his influences from 2pac, Immortal Technique, Outkast, Tumi & the Volumes, G- Eazy etc.

Current Projects

On 10th August his birthday this year, he released a first single from his hoped upcoming debut studio album and the track has been trending on twitter and facebook, the single is entitled Ours featuring Aero, Lil G & Yeye the song was produced by VI Bittz a young producer making moves in Eastern Cape and mixed and mastered by Luthoz at Dice Game studios. And he is currently working on the next single entitled ‘Better Person’.
