ROBERT L. SMITH is a Recording Engineer and Record Producer in New York City. His work includes recording and mixing cover songs "Teenage Dream"[1] and "Hey, Soul Sister" with The Warblers for television show Glee.[2] Robert has worked on recording projects with Lady Gaga[3], Aerosmith[4], David Bowie[5], and Stacie Rose.[6][7]

Robert's Emmy_Award nomination was earned for the documentary Full Battle Rattle with composer Paul Brill, for which Robert was Sound Recordist and Sound Mixer.[8][9] His work on 20_Feet_from_Stardom as Score Recordist received attention when 20_Feet_from_Stardom won Academy_Award_for_Best_Documentary_Feature during the 86th_Academy_Awards,[10][11] viewed by fourty-four million viewers.[12]

Robert is a founding member of New York's Pyramid Recording Collective.[13], and has his own music production company called Defy Recordings.[14]
