Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences (NICS) is part of the Narayana Health group. NICS is one of the largest cardiac hospitals in the world.[1] It has been accredited by the JCI and the NABH. NICS is located in NH Health City in Bommasandra, Bangalore.
History of NICS
Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences was commissioned in the year 2000. It is a highly specialized cardiac hospital, located at Bommasandra Industrial Area, Bangalore and is a part of NH Health City. Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty,[2] the Chairman and Founder of Narayana Health, who alone has performed nearly 15,000 heart surgeries, established NICS as a centre to focus on complex Cardiac Surgeries and Heart Transplants.
