Gery-Nikol Georgieva (Bulgarian: Гери-Никол Георгиева, born 30 July 1998), better known simply as Gery-Nikol, is a Bulgarian pop singer who rose to fame in late 2014 after participating in the third season of the Bulgarian edition of The X Factor.
Biography and career
Gery-Nikol was born on July 30, 1998 in the city of Varna.[1][2]
In 2014 she participated in the Bulgarian version of the reality show The X Factor as part of the Sweet 16 girl band.[3]
In 2015, shortly after her departure from The X Factor, Gery-Nikol received mentorship by Bulgarian rapper Krisko and was immediately signed to the Bulgarian-German record label Facing The Sun. Shortly afterwards, she began her solo career following the release of her debut single "Eла и си вземи" ("Come and Get It") featuring her fellow mentor Krisko.[citation needed] The song quickly made a surprising impact and became one of the biggest hits in the Bulgarian charts during the summer of 2015. At the end of the year she released her second single "Момиче като мен" ("Girl Like Me"), accompanied with a music video. Both videos of the two singles were watched by a record number of viewers on the Vbox7 and YouTube channels.

Personal life
In 2015 the music video for her second single "Momiche kato Men" sparked controversy, mainly due to the request of the Bulgarian State Agency for Child Protection to determine whether the video content was obscene or not. In late 2015, the Bulgarian Council of Electronic Media refused to consider the case due to the lack of legal norms.[5]
