Re: Camel Trophy page External Link
:Hello there. First of all, I am not a moderator of the article (I barely know what a Land Rover is). The problem was that you did add the link to a lot of articles that were barely connected with Land Rovers, lest a FAQ, like Off-roading, Special Air Service, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, etc. When a user is found inserting a single external link to multiple articles, especially barely related ones, it is considered spam, the edits are reverted and the user is informed. Note that the FAQ is still linked in Land Rover, as it is considered to suit that article. The idea is that users don't add the link to multiple places and then the editors remove the ones that are incorrect; this approach would take a lot of time, thus we commonly revert all the edits. This is how I got to the Camel Trophy article and reverted it (since I reverted it, I warned you for that edit, I could have warned you for the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider one had I reverted that edit first). Since I don't know about Land Rovers, I suggest you to Talk:Camel Trophy, and post there a suggestion to add your link, explaining why you find it relevant. If the common editors of the article find it suitable, they will add, or ask you to add it. As I said, I justify the inclusion of the FAQ in the main Land Rover article, but I can't vouch for other articles, especially when I barely know about the topic. Hope this clarifies the matter. Good luck! -- ReyBrujo 17:31, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

Four-wheel drive and lrfaq

The land rover FAQ would be appropriate on Land Rover, but probably not on Four-wheel drive. I'm removing it again. --Matt 14:42, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

lrfaq and williammaloney site links

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Siobhan Hansa 14:44, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Camel Trophy

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Camel Trophy. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. -- ReyBrujo 14:47, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Camel Trophy page External Link

Hello there.
