The Red Bellied Piranha is a species of Piranha, one of the most familiar. This Piranha species lives in the Amazon River Basin in Brazil, like most species of Piranha.
Pet
Some people keep Red Bellied Piranhas as pets, but you have to be careful with them. Piranhas are not verocious as they appear in the Thriller Piranha (film). Some people have swam in the rivers infested with piranhas and don't get bit or anything, but the draw of blood could lure them in.
