Dawn Thandeka King (born October 1,1977) is a South African Actress, Musician and Motivational speaker from Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal.[1][2]

Early Life

Dawn Thandeka King was born in Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal.[3]After finishing her matric, she went on to complete her Drama studies at Technikon Natal (now known as Durban University of Technology).[4]

Personal Life

Dawn Thandeka is a mother of five.[5]She was married to a durban based business man named Jabulani Msomi for 15 years until their marriage ended on 2017.[6]She is currently in a relationship with Mlungisi Duncan.[7]

Career

Before Dawn Thandeka's breakthrough in the acting industry, she was working a 9-5 job in the tourism industry around durban.[8]She eventually quit her job in the tourism industry to pursue her acting career and her debut in the acting industry came in 2012 where she got a role in Mzansi Magic's telenovela Inkaba.[9]A few years later she potrayed the role of Lindiwe Xulu (Mangcobo) on a telenovela broadcasted on SABC1 called Uzalo, which became a success and her character was well received by the audience with Dawn Thandeka receiving praise for her acting skills.[10]
