Sunnyside is a community in Calgary, Alberta located on the north side of the Bow River adjacent to Calgary's downtown. Officially Sunnyside is bounded by Center Street on the east and by 10th Street NW on the west. On the north Sunnyside is bounded by M.C. Hugh Bluff Park and on the south by Memorial Drive.[1]

Primarily a residential area, Sunnyside has an elementary school[2], a station on the C-Train (Calgary's Light Rail Transit system), and a grocery store as well as many popular restraunts, coffee shops, and boutique stores.

Historically Sunnyside is one of Calgary's oldest communities. Originally home to many Canadian Pacific Railway and Eau Claire Sawmill employees[3], Sunnyside now attracts urban professionals and their families due to its close proximity to downtown.

Sunnyside falls within the riding of Ward 7 currently held by Alderman Druh Farrell[4].
