D4L

D4L is a rap group from Atlanta, Georgia who are best known for their #1 hit Laffy Taffy. The members are Fabo, Mook B., Stoney (aka Stuntman) and Shawty Lo, Fabo being the most known out of the group with his outspoken and outgoing personality and lifestyle. They are considered by some as one of the pioneers of Snap Music.

Founder of D4L, Shawty Lo, stated in an interview with DJBooth.net that despite his solo album, "Units In Da City," dropping before the end of 2007, he would not be leaving the group. [1]

Controversy and criticism

Controversy surrounds the group, as there have been disputes with Liam "Smack Eyes" Thomas, who claims to have written the lyrics for "Laffy Taffy," alleging that they stole the rhymes from his rhyme book.[citation needed] The case is expected to go to court in late 2007.[citation needed]

The group was dissed by Hip-Hop Veteran Ghostface Killah a member of the legendary Hip-Hop group the Wu-Tang Clan. Ghostface says D4L is killing Hip-Hop.
