PURPOSE

To provide scholars a chronological record of the President of the United States' key decisions on executing the Global War on Terror during the national security decisionmaking process and what advice was provided according to their respective published memoirs.

METHOD

The project focuses on the respective strategic leaders published memoirs that simply focuses on their respective positions when presented a strategic problem that required a decision by the President of the United States. - What did they understand was the nature of the problem? - When did they understand the problem? - What was was their position? It's important to record these actions without criticicism or analysis!

That said, we'll first provide an initial framework of strategic problem sets based upon credible second party analysis which we'll limit to Mr. Bob Woodward, Mr. Michael Gordon, and Mr. Thomas Ricks given their significant access to stategic leaders and in some cases the actual deliberations themselves.

ENDSTATE

An account, according to their memoirs, of where the respective strategic leaders understood during national security deliberations and recommendations with respect to prosecuting the Global War on Terrorism. (What did you know? When did you know it? What did you recommend and Why?)
