Invalid merges
Articles should not be merged without discussion, and merging never just means creating redirects without moving the actual contents of the page in question. ==Edits to BBC==

Two things, firstly I deliberately (but temporarily) removed the criticism section from the visible article but kept the text as I, and at least one other editor are working on developing a fully sourced criticism section, and wanted to keep the text to work on a future version. I thought the note I left was fairly unambiguous: "please don't restore it until every "some say" type statement is referenced with somebody actually saying it", yet you promptly deleted the entire text and replaced it with a paragraph starting with "The BBC has been accused of having a liberal bias, or of being pro-Tony Blair, by some conservatives." yet without a single reference to any conservative saying any such thing. Additionally, you changed the "See also" link to British television to Television in the United Kingdom, even though Television in the United Kingdom is a redirect to British television, which seems a strange edit to me. I've reverted your edits, then, but kept the text you added to the (currently hidden and work in progress) criticism section. In future please avoid using weasel words, and rather than using the from "x has been criticised by some y for being z" use the form "x has been criticised for being z, most notably by y" where y is an actual person or organisation who said such a thing. And make sure that you cite your source correctly. If you've got any questions or complaints feel free to raise them on my talk page. --<font color="Brown">Daduzi</font> <font color="Green">talk</font> 02:22, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
:Okay, sorry, point taken. I thought you meant to take that stuff out of the article.
Tour de France
:As I said, no one had heard of it before him.
::Sentence doesn't make any sense in that context
:::The Tour de France. I added that Lance Armstrong helped make it a household name.

:Please do not remove messages from your talk page. Talk pages exist as a record of communication, and in any case, comments are available through the page history. You're welcome to archive your talk page, but be sure to provide a link to any deleted comments. Thanks. <!-- Template:Wr0 (first level warning) -->
::But the person who added the message didn't know what he was talking about. Also, I replaced the fair use pic with a GFDL one from Wikimedia Commons.

:Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's NPOV policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did to Fernando Torres, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Furthermore, reinserting the same commentary multiple times may cause you to violate the three-revert rule, which can lead to a block. <!-- Template:Comment3-n -->
::Talk to me like a man, don't just use template messages. I replaced the fair use pic with GFDL commons pic, that is not nonsense. But he is sexy you must admit.

:Please stop. If you continue to blank or remove content from Wikipedia, as you did to : Five Characters in Search of an Exit (The Twilight Zone), you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. <!-- Template:Test3a-n (Third level blanking/removing warning) -->
::I didn't mean to do that actually, sorry. See new change for what I was aiming for. My mistake.

::: This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to :Portal:Current events/2006 July 28, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. <!-- Template:Test4-n (Fourth level warning) -->
::::Yeah, how bout you stop that considering most of the other charges were unfounded. You only wanted to use that one because of the pic of William Hung I added. Besides which I added the comment in HTML comments to let other people know that the news item in question was US-centric, so it's not even vandalism. Talk to the hand, hater.

Fair Use
Please see Wikipedia:Fair use - It's all to do with copyrights. You can't use that image unless it's on a page about the image subject. Also, adding images to a shared IP address talk page may result in the image being removed as potential vandalism - just a warning! Try signing up for an account! HawkerTyphoon 19:09, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Shared talk page
Please don't place fair use images on talk pages. For starters this is a shared talk page that moves from user to user. More important, fair use images are not valid for use on articles (not to mention talk pages) that are not specifically concerned with the subject of the photo. Thanks. Rx StrangeLove 19:11, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
:I was typing this as a response to the other guy when you left your message: That's fine, but I doubt it would be removed as vandalism when there's already a fair use pic in use (Manbearpig) and has been for a while. But point taken. I do not believe in creating accounts though as it jeopardizes my privacy. In any case if other users want to move the images that's fine with it - it is a wiki after all.
::Please just stop being a troublemaker. -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 19:13, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
::I don't care if you create a account, but please stop putting fair use images on talk pages. -manbearpig- is an article and fair use images are used on articles all the time, but they have to meet certain conditions. On articles, it can be contentious but on talk pages it's pretty clear cut. They just are not allowed....anyway, thanks. Rx StrangeLove 19:19, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
:::Yeah, I know that, and I'm the one who REMOVED the picture of Manbearpig... Not sure why you're reminding me it's not allowed.

Blanking
Now your blanking sections, please discuss on the talk page of the article if you want to remove large amounts of material. I'll assume good faith here, but please don't remove material without talking about it first, thanks! Rx StrangeLove 19:28, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Spelling
Advice: English dialects on Wikipedia: Wikipedia has millions of readers; some use American English, or British English, or International English, or any of numerous other local forms from Australia, Canada, Ireland etc. Because of this, Wikipedia has a policy of respecting articles written in whatever form of English the original author of the article used.

The guidelines are simple. For subjects exclusively related to Britain (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. If it is an international topic, use the same form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, just ask anyone on Wikipedia and they will help you. Enjoy your time on the internet's fastest growing encyclopædia/encyclopedia .
